I agree, iv seen the silent film of Call of Cthulhu and tho it may have been low budget, it was awesome. Now if they can do that with a modest budget, then SOMEONE in hollywood should be able th put together a decent cthulhu movie with a decent plot and actors without trying to break the freekin piggy bank. Just keep Michel Bay away from it and your FX budget will be easy to manage.
Personally these are the Lovecraft movies id like to see.
Call of Cthulhu
Pickmans Model
Shadow over Innsmouth
Dream Quest of unknown Kadath
Shadow out of time

Yep, same old crap with Innsmouth again.
I have no idea what these people are thinking. I mean if I was a film maker and saw 1000 other renditions of the same freakin story. Wouldnt you choose a different story to depict?
How about a new version of the Lurking Fear? Shadow out of time? Beyond the wall of sleep? I mean what the hell.

Wall of Eyrx would be awesome, why don't we talk about that more! Sure it wasn't in the mythos, but it still killed some serious ass, maybe if I make some money I'll film a short or something of that, its just such a sweet story.
