Once this hosting mess is over I will really try to get more going with this on my end.. The new host should be much better about bandwidth concerns!

Seriously! I really do think it's a good idea, but I just always end up having too many projects going at once to sit and plan it out.
I will of course do all I can to help with it, but there is no reason someone else can't be in charge of the project.

I found a classy horror site named Rue Morgue that had its halloween special shows available for download. Although they didn't have anyone reading fiction it was still a great half an hour show full of halloween music. That sort of a thing adds great depth to a site.

This is a nice looking online (flash based) mp3 player. It has color schemes and some other features - I have not looked through it completely, but it could work nicely for the radio thing.

Hey wouldn't it be great if there was someone reading the stories and an atmosphere music was going on in the background? Like when in horror movies people wander around in dark caves or cellars there's an eerie music. Maybe something like that?
