Sure, 'Lair of the White Worm' with Hugh Grant, Amanda Donahoe and Catherine Oxenburg, came out some years ago, but should be available on DVD.
Ken Russell directed, as I recall.
Fine film, very funny, but kinda spooky in spots, too.
Donaho is a scream as the wicked lady, and Grant does his usual turn perfectly.
There's a musical number I love to this day!

I hate Hugh Grant, so I'll avoid the fuck out of it.

Everybody hates Hugh Grant, that's what he exists for, the supercillious Pommy twit.
But he's good in this one.

I shall believe it when I see it. If I see it. Which I won't.

I thought that this had Vincent Price in it...

Wrong worm.
That was "The Conqueror Worm" with the incomparable Mr. Price.
I met him once, he was a true gentleman.

How, pray tell, did they make a film of a poem in and around twenty lines long?

They put the title on a movie called "The Witchfinder General" to keep with the Poe theme of many releases.
Price was still a great actor, in such roles.
And a great gentleman.

Price was the only thing that kept most of those films tolerable. Even in the worst written pieces of shit he still shone.

Some of the stuff based on Poe still makes me shudder with disgust.

This has been a whole lot of fun, guys, but I'm beginning a serious study of Electronic Voice Phenomena.
Somehow, I feel a Mythos tale coming on!
I'm sure glad someone else remembers Lil' Abner!
