Ok, Ok. I am a sucker for anything with Lovecrafts name on it. I see the book run for the nearest register and run home.Dont even look at the contents.Worst ever; The Loved Dead. Keerist! The best of the bunch was R.H.Barlow the Night Ocean and that stunk! If you see this in the book stores, run, do not walk away.

Never read it. Just curious about why you think it sucks.

Because Kerry King had something to do with it somewhere, obviously.

I don't think EVERYTHING relates to KK.
Could you say HPL was the Kerry King of his own time? Releasing omnipotent and devastating thoughts and vibrations with his mighty axe (or pen, as they call it now) and living a life of sin and heavy whoring?

You could say that, but without the life of sin and heavy whoring. In some ways (e.g. frailty, small fan base, asexuality, etc.), HPL was also the Rusty Cooley of his time.

Rusty Cooley is better than Kerry King. That's all you need to know.

That's what most people ask.

E.A.L. That was some funny sh*t. And I must say early Slayer kills.
Also Lovecraft's revision of C.M Eddy Jr's, The Loved Dead is really not that bad of a story. In fact it's his best one ( well actually all his HPL collaborations are; The Ghost Eater, Deaf Dumb And Blind, Ashes, can ya guess why?). I think The Horror In The Museum revisions are great. There may be a few weak stories in the collection but The Loved Dead is'nt one of them IMO. It was a pretty shocking story for its day. Besides I'm not so sure there's any Mythos story out there that measures up to anything Lovecraft touched with his own pen revisions/secondary revisions and all.
PS Lovecraft loved his life of sin and heavy whoring just ask FBL.

Picked up the whole Titus Crow series by Brian Lumley. ABSOLUTE BOLLOCKS.
Cthulhu 2000 has some god-awful pieces of garbage in it, not least among them 'His mouth will taste of wormwood' and 'Are you Loathesome tonight?'
That being said, I enjoyed quite a lot of the 'Children of Cthulhu' anthology, but my last two 'worst' stories come from there. "Meet me on the other side" was just boring, and another one "Visitation" is a poor, fanboy-esque rendition of a posthumous visit from Poe.
