I saw a painting of some "fishers from the outside" in that Art of the Cthulhu Mythos, it looked like giant daddy long legs (actual legs, no head or body) popping out of a portal or rift, and grabbing people into the sky.
Interesting. I like the insectoid take even better than how Lin Carter portrayed them, which I believe was more like Night Gaunts or demented Pterodactyls more than anything else.
