recipe for poor man's calamari:
1 tbsp. butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
3 oz. small, thick, uncolored rubber bands
sautée rubber bands in garlic until they are sufficiently warped. serve with balsamic vinagrette and enjoy chewing for upwards of 30 minutes. your guests will never know it's not real calamari!
