Accused witches are not funny, the witchcraft hysteria was one of the worst episodes in history, and should be taken as seriously as the Holocaust.

I love humor-but some things need to be taken seriously.
I've been appalled at the recent "Satanic Abuse" prosecutions, in which "recovered memories" were prominent.
Spectal evidence, anyone?
People went to jail.
We can laugh later, but history repeats itself.
Besides, the Society to Abolish the Worship of Rhan-Tegoth is not happy about the attitude so many people have that the supernatural is risable-it is not TC (thaumaturically correct).

i believe you can take things seriously and not seriously at the same time. it's just a matter of compartmentalizing your sensibilities.. otherwise, all the irony in life will poison instead of entertain you

I have to admit hearing it was found on the street in Leeds did not shock me at all.

I never said I found the witch trials funny, I said I wouldn't mind have those two books bound in the skin of a supposed witch.
