Really believe in this?

I'm curious I know theres alot of people who talk about Cthulhu's awakening and the doomsday and the cultists in the books, and in all seriousness, do people really believe Cthulhu and all the other old ones are real deities? I'm just curious how you can justify that if you do believe in this, I mean, this was formed from the mind of a fiction writer how can you believe in somthing not as old as christianity and other religions where we dont know the exact origin of the writings just where we assume they come from. Thanks!

No, People don't believe Cthulhu and company exist.

Some satanist / wiccans use his image in their ceremonies because they got nothing else better to do.
