Seeking authors of the Mythos with DuPage County Ties

Post by NickolausPacione »

I am doing a special issue of The Ethereal Gazette where the writers are local and I want to do them in a way that will kick the crowd square in the balls. If you want source material for the fiction, pick up my book An Eye In Shadows on Amazon.com (read the Psychic Artist scene) -- feel free to write me into the story and do it in a way where I am not killed off but shows the darkness from the skies from other angles.

I am looking for a true blue collar horror take on The Cthulhu Mythos -- think Stir of Echoes by Richard Matheson meets The Haunter In The Dark. I am looking for writers to be very Un-PC and a strong FUCK YOU element in there. I am just trying to get issue ten to print but the current issue is available for purchase on lulu.com. Adrian Shepard and another from Temple of Dagon was unleashed in this mag on the fourth issue. Send stories as either a .doc, .rtf, .odt, and .wps to ethrealgazette@gmail.com.

You do the story and it's damn good you get $10.00 via paypal, $7 for creative nonfiction, $8 for reprints -- artwork gets $20.00 interior and $40 exterior. I usually do the photography on each issue the cover photo was called WATCHER AT THE SEA and it's based off DARKNESS FROM THE SKIES expanded version. I want to see some dark DuPage County stories for this much as I did with House of Spiders 3.
Online Publishing Company of Cthulhu Mythos Writer, NICKOLAUS A. PACIONE. Dirty Black Winter is out now the career spanding collection. An Eye In Shadows is available on Amazon.com and Lulu.com.

Since this post was made back in February, the guidelines have changed drastically for the next issue of this magazine.

Ethereal Gazette Issue Eleven will no longer require those that submit to be from Illinois or any area for that matter. You don't have to be a "blue collar" author, Mythos submissions are fine but not required, and you don't have to purchase any previous books from the Lake Fossil Press catalog to qualify. If you would like to include the previous Editor and Chief, Nickolaus Pacione, into your story that is fine, but it is not a requirement and if you do you can have him killed off in the story if you wish. As long as it's only in the story!

Along with loosening the previous restrictions that came with the company's guidelines, as the new Editor and Chief I believe that "you get what you pay for" therefore we will be paying Pro Rates for accepted submissions, and your payment will arrive sooner than in the past. Gone are the days of I.O.U.s from LFP!

Another change in the company for now, is the email address to send your submissions into. If you wish to submit your work to Lake Fossil Press please do so at angryinillinois@yahoo.com.

Thank you
