New to the forum and the mythos

Post by 'Ello Guv'ner »

As the title suggests I've just joined the forum and also i'm fairly new to the mythos in general, so hi and can you suggest which mythos books to start with, i'm reading, among others, lovecraft's call of cthulhu short storey atm.

'Ello Guv'ner!!!

I hope you stick around for the long haul. =]

As for stories, I personally recommend Pickman's Model, The Hounds of Tindalos, The Haunter of the Dark, and Beyond the Mountains of Madness to start with. =]

Welcome aboard!
You'll also want to check out "Dagon", "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", "The Picture in the House" and "In The Vault". Avoid anything written by August Derleth, and by member Yog-Sothoth, though. :P

Stay with us man...
My recommendations are Reanimator, The shadow over innsmouth and the color out of space, other good authors are very rare ,but one or two of lumley (brian) *shudders* stories are acceptable

The Brian Lumely stuff is actually pretty good.
I also suggest "Dreams of the Witch House" [or something close to that xD] "The Thing on the Doorstep" "The Street" and "Rats in the Wall"
