"New Album"

Post by decadence »

Hey all.

The new CD, 'Nightsongs' is being infused into the master-center as I sit here. I have gone ahead and uploaded the case art on deviantart, so you can take a gander. Some of the songs from this new CD are freely available for download here:

http://www.reverbnation.com/djredskull
(top 3 songs are from the album)

This album has been in production over a year now. I had so much going on in daily life I kinda took my sweet ass time getting the final cut of each track to my liking. The songs represented on this disc are, in my own view, my best work musically to date. Each track stands on its own, but is obviously part of a larger work that ties in together flawlessly. The bonus tracks (as labeled on the case art for the back of the case) are not part of the overall concept of the album, but instead are a slight detour from the sedated mood of the main album. I included them as a contrast, rather than the industry standard "filler" material. They also, like the main album, stand on their own.

I will be offering this CD in my online store for $8.00 U.S. (as is my usual price model on CD distribution). This will cover any overhead on my end, and shipping to the listener. The CD is manufactured in industry-standard format, with waterproof labeling on the disc, and high-gloss paper for the booklet and tray-card. The CD is manufactured only when someone actually orders it, so the CD will never go out of print.

A limited-edition version of this CD, with a bonus DISC of unreleased material, signed by me, has also been produced, but it will appear in unforeseen locations. *wink*

Anyway, I have really enjoyed making this one. It feels like an era in my life has turned over. This is a definitive record for me, and I hope some of you on DA will enjoy it.

Let me know if you want the entire album in MP3 format. Just send me a PM and I will either speak with you on MSN or use filebeam.com to send you the album.

Why is realism always mistaken for negativity? I am just pointing out reality. Is it so bad, really?

My official music site has gone live. For those of you unfamiliar with my music, this is an opportunity for you to explore it. For those of you keeping up over the past 10+ years, everything before this morning lead come to this:

- All of my albums, from 1997 to last week, in mp3 format, will eventually be housed here. No charge for the downloads.

- Nearly 25 hours of never before released material will appear on the site in short order, spanning all genres of electronic music and beyond. It will be here, and nowhere else. Free to the public. Forever. No bullshit.

- Music Videos will be housed here. All 9 of my official music videos that have surfaced over the past years will be viewable via stream and/or able to be downloaded, at no cost to you.

- The online store will be more accessible to those wishing to help support the work. If you want to buy something, you can. If you don't, steal it off the vault pages. Regardless, your inclusion is my only goal.

- Forums for discussions on Computer Music production will be housed here. If you are new, or an old hand, you will be able to take part in future projects alongside me, take a master class in the art of Computer-Assisted Music Composition, and much, much more. Surprise guests from sources you won't expect will drop in from time to time.

- "Eonbeats Records", my first serious undertaking for creating a bonafide Netlabel, is on the way. There will be artists from Texas to Canada. Stay tuned on this front...

- All Access Pass Area to include merch, special limited edition CD Runs, and more will appear.

- Contests. Prizes. Loot.

- More will be added as it grows.

The Beats of Eons are now live. Are you listening?
