the current (93) space monster magazine

Post by cultistofvertigo »

Whatever it is. I'm aware there's got to be, like, a billion different fanzines dedicated almost exclusively to mythos stories, and I've even run into a few of them at books stores (rare occasions i assure you), but they seem to collapse awfully fast, something about over-saturation and too many pastiches for anyone to be interested in or something.

Point is, it's hard for someone like me who still goes to book stores to try and find books to keep tabs on this sort of thing. I thought Robert M. Price's magazine was still around, but I can't seem to find any info on it. Oh well.

So what I want to know is what is THE current cthulhu rag? And as i'm sure there are more than one (looking at the topics for an answer, I can see several different names posting submission guidelines), how many are still good to go?

I dont want to be too specific about it, but in case it matters to anyone, and i'm really just feeling around with this post, but any story I write isnt going to sound ANYTHING like HPL at all. I mean, the same events go down (dry, scientific exposition and space monster at the end) but I tend to write in a way that "proper" lovecraftian pompous-holes would go "my heavens! explaining space mosnters without a veil of superstition and misinterpretation!? Are you daft!?" But, i'm sure that if David Conyers can get a book published by chaosium, I can get a story published in a fanzine.

Thanks in advance for shedding some light on this.

consider fantastic horror, not exclusively mythos but it's welcome.
A monkey riding a dog is probably the awesomest thing that could ever happen.
