You think? Well, nothing in story was named until Lovecraft's part. He named Yekub, but Frank Belknap Long (greatest writer in the world) named Juk-Shabb, which sounds kinda like shishkabob. Is that how you spell it?E.A. Lovecraft wrote:Seriously, there's something about the word Yekub (and all its derivatives) that makes any author willing to use it take a serious loss of cool points.
And if you think THATs bad, trying reading "The Fishers from Outside" by Lin Carter without laughing. Ia Quumyagga!
look at the time... with your eyeballs.
go on now, do it.
go on now, do it.
the goofier the name, the eviler the entity
A monkey riding a dog is probably the awesomest thing that could ever happen.

And don't pass over that most terrifying of mythos tales, The Something from Some Other Place. You know that story, it's where some evil tentacles are doing something sinister in this rarely visited place, but are discovered by a dour professor and his hapless associate, who--upon their discovery--check out a dog-eared copy of the Necronomicon from the local bookmobile and set out to banish the horror (ostensibly to save the world, but secretly hoping it will help them get laid). Then they discover the tentacles are servants of K'boodl Ghas'hcan, Dark Lord of Incestuous Hillbillies and Random Apostrophes, (a being whose awesome terribleness is signified by its endless slobber and inability to articulate proper nouns) who devours the professor just before the associate wigs out and sends him back to Some Other Place.cultistofvertigo wrote:trying reading "The Fishers from Outside" by Lin Carter without laughing.
