Bloody Mary's Mirror

Although not specifically Lovecraft-related, this unique item may be of interest to fans of the mythos. I am working on a prototype that manifests a ghostly image of HPL. Anyone interested in this or who has any comments or suggestions is encouraged to email me at haunteddollman@yahoo.com

Effect: While displaying an old, weird, but seemingly ordinary 8x10" mirror, you light a candle and relate the legend of "Bloody Mary", a dead child murderess. You explain that if you say her name 13 times into the mirror, the vengeful spirit of Bloody Mary will appear! If you look away from her for even a second, she will reach through the glass and claw your eyes out! You lead the spectators in the chant. "Bloody Mary! Bloody Mary! Bloody Mary!" As the group reaches the 13th incantation in a fevered pitch of deadful anticipation, a skeletal face appears in the mirror and then quickly fades away!

A great effect/prop for anyone interested in doing weird, spooky, bizarre or storytelling magic. Perfect for Halloween or Sweet Sixteen parties. Obviously, you can tell any version of the story you want. This strange trick requires little or no set up or prep time to perform and resets almost instantly. The mirror does the work for you! Each mirror is prepared by hand and is individually cursed.
