Praise Fragments

Post by idolcrash »

A new resource on the Deep Ones and their worship of Cthulhu, a fragment found with rules (which I haven't done yet) and Deep One worship towards Cthulhu. I will also work on ones for the other gods, unless someone wants to lend a hand.

These are meant mainly for something to add to works if needed, and once I do the fragments, I may merge them into a story.
The translated praise fragments found in the House-Upon-Hill in Marlboro, Massachusetts. These come from some ancient sites unknown to me, so I appeal to all who see this to uncover the mystery, and if the malice contained within these ancient words materializes, perhaps we will be able to stop it.

This is the first, the Cthulhu fragment, found at a small island describing the worship and beliefs of some possibly native people. The English translation appears after the line it converts. These are very loose translations, done by myself and a few others slightly more knowledgable on these ancient languages, so please feel free to correct if this is your will.

Sec I-Perhaps some sort of worship service?
Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fhtagn!
Cthulhu wakes!
Mord'ifwi Cthulhu armgw'ri Isu ga songoma
Together Cthulhu rules Earth and the cosmos
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.
In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.
T'kor undant, Cthulhu lafh'nge sh'nt!
The time is right, Cthulhu now lives!
Edit: This is a very poorly written first draft, but is for a rough idea on the directikon I'm going with these.
