relations between old ones

I've recently started reading Lovecraft but there seems to be one oddity (well, if you disregard practically all of a lovecraftian story then there is one oddity) none of the great old ones (so far) have any contact between each other! they seem to alienate each other entirely! (well, unless they happen to be pumping out babies with each other) i mean, they are obviously sentient as well as having an ability to communicate and the only interactions between the old ones that i know of is Yog-sothoth and Shub niggurath![/u]
