"Dreams" is finished. Next up - "Where the Wild Things Are", the promised Dr. Seuss/Lovecraft cross-over. I'm already a good 3-400 words into it, and I've set the scene. I don't think it'll be too long, though.

Well, these guys have decided to use my story "Thorn Within" for that anthology - my first published story in print!

Aye, it is. Only thing is, I'm not getting paid, just getting a free copy of the book.

It's all good. The more you get published, the more publishers will take notice.

I know. I'm still waiting on replies from other publishers, so I could well be on my way to getting this novel of mine published. Of course, I need to finish it, and go over it again to weed out the shite bits. But I've a lot more free time this past while, it could be done easily.

Here's somewhere for you guys to look into, two of us from Temple of Dagon both got accepted on different issues of the magazine. They need a novella length story for it so if you want to give it a go here's the link.

Hmm. Not really my genre, in truth. I need slower paced stuff so as to build - my forte is in description, not plot. But that urban legend thing you emailed me looks promising, I'll get cracking on it tomorrow.
That means 'Behind the Iron Curtain' is on hiatus again.

Good luck man it is a tough one believe me -- doing an urban legend story is a lot harder than writing a Mythos one. Fun but a challenge just the same. G.W. Thomas is always looking for a Mythos novella.

Novella? Like how long?
And I'm trying to think of an ubran legend to use. I could probably come up with something sinister, but I need a starting point.

I did an urban legend and it got into TPII. It was about polluted waters where a tapeworm grew into a somewhat larger form and got into a man who had a phobia against snakes. Now when I think about it it sounds like a cheesy "X-Files" episode :D

Hmm. Maybe I could try something about crocodiles in the sewers. Oooh, and a kid could go missing, with bits of it resurfacing in someone's toilet bowl.

Never mind me but that would be too generic and best be tackled at when you wield a real mastership at horror stories because you would need to put a whole new spin to that old story.
