Thanks, it seems to be working fine.

A switchplate cover is the cover that goes over the light switch. They are normally off-white and flat, but they come in different styles. Quaint flowery designs, palm trees, goofy cartoon characters, sometimes in relief scuilpture. Why not make one worth getting out the screwdriver to replace it?

Hell, I'd buy those. Is it only the cover, or would I need an electrician to fit it?

Not on my lightswitch covers, no. On many, many other things, including the odd Land Raider.

I was just thinking that the switch itself might need taken out. What are you planning, burnished brass?

I have a few thoughts on that actually. I might even offer a choice of finishes. Perhaps simulated stone, simulated bone, simulated hematite or even a gold leaf finish. It depends on the style I make them in I suppose. The actual material will most likely be hydrostone, which is kind of like a cement/plaster material that is a lot like porcelain.

I like the idea of simulated stone. Maybe a green-veined obsidian?

That would be cool too. I was thinking about an olive-veined black marble, or maybe creating some alien-looking stone finish with streaks of metallic veins and greenish flecks like the Cthulhu fetish is described.

Pick what you like best and run with it. I do like the idea of a glossy black stone, either marble or obsidian, and greenish veins always seemed very occult to me.

Actually I've seen Cthulhu fish car magnets and window stickers on eBay. What I want is a "What Would Cthulhu Do?" T-shirt.

Iron tusk, boy, let him finish what he's at!

Here's looking forward to seeing the finished chess set. Say, would it be possible to order individual pieces? I'm interested in the two kings, you see.

Just the two kings? I'll have to give it some thought. I could only find 10 spherical rubies, so that means I can only make 5 white kings. Unless I make them with something else for the eyes, like red crystal or something.
The cool thing about the spherical rubies is that they are exactly the same shape and size as the pearls in the counterpart black piece.
