yeah, first rights is what i mean. i don't want to own the stuff, just share it.

still, that's a big consideration for anyone who thinks they might want to sell their work later.. as i understand it, first rights are what publishers usually want to pay for.

however, if you have faith in the idea of fantastic horror, then you won't mind gambling a little with your creative product. in time, i believe the site could become a real fixture in the horror scene.. with a special kind of 'openness' that isn't typically fostered by market dynamics.

i think if we make a good pitch, there might be a few people with relatively high profiles who could lend some credibility to the whole thing, and it might snowball from there.

but all we can really count on is our own efforts to make the thing as attractive as possible when it opens up.
