The Temple of Dagon

This is a question going in my mind, what are you working on as far as short stories? I am currently doing an exclusive story for my natural disaster themed anthology -- this story is titled Utica, but if you want to read a story I did. Check out the site Wheels of Terror for another ghost story I wrote, this time I wrote it with my Mythos pacing. When I write a Mythos story it is at the pace of a speeding freight train, so I was wondering if there is a special pacing that you guys use when doing your respective stories as in do you scare at a breakneck speed (one scare after another all the way to the end) or do you build it up.

I am not writing anything at the moment. I wiill, however, be spending the next two weeks in the area where most of my stories take place with the bloke who commissioned the tale In Plaid Sight and who is an adjunct member of my band.

Besides my brain is too fried after recording an entire album in 20 hours.

Are you serious about the 20 hour session -- that is faster than the free public domain anthology (of classic short stories) I pass around via email.

I'm currently jotting down lots of ideas and notes for stories but being too lazy to actually write any.

What is the book about? The country itself?

Nope, its a collection of short stories inspired by my panic attacks, delusions and an obsessive-compulsive disorder. It's a mix of existentialism, surrealism, grotesque and absurd. I try to put my disorders into it and pass it on as stories. People have read it and said I am insane and enjoyed.

I got Tabloid Purposes II in the works and the most controversial story yet is going to be published in there. I am also putting another one in there.

My second screenplay (and no, the first one has yet to be filmed. I hope to borrow a few digital videocameras off of various people soon, and get a quick version knocked otgether for personal use), and starting work on an anothology of short stories. I've been meaning to get back to my novel (which is about half way through). If anyone gives a monkey's toss about any of these, give me a bell and I'll e-mail the corresponding files.
