Music For The Mythos

Post by decadence »

I am planning a major project, which will be known as "LoveKraftEon"

This will be music inspired by, and in theme league with, the lovely mythos, and creepy as all fuck...If anyone is interesting in coming aboard to help me compose some works, let me know...I am always looking for collaborationists in my madness....

Unfortunately I don't think I would be able to attempt getting back into the electronic music thing right now. I always have too many projects it seems.

I would possibly be interested in helping in some other ways though! And of course theres always room on the site :)

Mentioning creepy music, has anyone tried to write a Mythos piece, or any other for that matter, while listening to "Delirium Cordia" by Fantomas? Creepiest and scariest thing Ive ever heard.

"Delirium Cordia" is about 75-minutes in length.
"Surgical sound specimens from the Museum of Skin." That is what the cover art says, for DC consists not of music or vocals, its just sounds, a whole stream of them. The fact that it makes me see pictures and what may be making them makes me like it beyond words, although I usually listen to it once in two months, otherwise it'll lose its meaning. It can't be as much as retold but experienced

Well Decandence I have written those lyrics that inspired a short story. You are welcome to use them (as long as you give me credit of course). I envisioned the song to be very creepy and eerie.

I prefer creepy music that has no lyrcis to stain the sound textures around it, but I will keep that in mind

decadence,

I'd love to hear it when your finished. I love checkin out peoples interpretations of Lovecraftania. I recorded a CD of Lovecraft adaptations entitled; Slithering Nightmare Of Protoplasmic Congeries. The name of the band is The Mind Parasites. It's o.k. stuff. Very heavy and grotesque interpretations of stories like At The Mountains Of Madness, Dagon (more an adoration of), Despair (an ambient demonically spoken word with all sorts of nightmarish visitations), and The Colour Out Of Space which I've set a link to if ya'd like to hear it.

Did I just see reference to Fantomas!? Amazing band. I mean, anything with Mike Patton in it is going to be amazing, but you throw Dave Lombardo in there too and you have got some explosively good shit.

I'll be able to wrangle up some ambient beats courtesy of a good friend of mine.

Anyone heard the album 'Necronomicon' by Nox Arcana? It's pretty sweet.
