Stuart Gordon in the House of Re-Animator...

Post by Pickman »

Aleister,

Thought you'd be interested in the following news...

Seems as though Stuart Gordon is still interested in doing a sequel to Re-Animator. For some time now he has been discussing an idea of his called House of Re-Animator (that takes place in the White House). Seems if a certain someone gets re-elected this might become a reality...

Here's an excerpt from his interview with http://sknr.net/.

GVK: What are you currently working on and what drew you to the project?

SG: One idea I am kicking around is “House of Re-animator”. It is a political satire that should certain people be back in office, then I would do it. I hope I do not have to go ahead with it, but if I do, it would be about V.P. Cheney passing from a heart attack and since he basically runs everything, Dr. West is called in to bring him back. I would only go on with this in the event of re-election as otherwise it would be old news...

Click the above link for the rest of the interview!

Take care,

Craig

Nice interview. I hope he goes through with the film, it would be interesting to see how he pulls it off.

I just wonder how much of the Re-Animator feel it would have. It could either be a Re-Animator movie in which the white house is involved, or a white house movie in which the Re-Animator is involved ;)

I'm curious as to how he would pull it off on a low budget. Do you think they'll let him spill fake blood on the White House floors? :)

If not, maybe he could use the set from the TV show The West Wing!

Watching a re-animated V.P. Cheney rampaging around the White House pushing red buttons might be fun though...

I keep picturing the cast from "that's my bush" if you ever saw that short-lived series :)

Ah that's right.

It was actually fairly funny.. sort of goofy of course.. I can't imagine the white house caring for it too much :)

Looks like Stuart has four more years to get this one off the ground...
