Is there a way to tell the alignment of mobs? Like, I want to find some juicy 'good' opponents!

Yep. There are three spells for this.

Detect Good/Detect Evil, are sustained spells and allow you to see the alignment aura flag on characer's/mob's room descriptions for as long as the effect lasts. There are a few bits of eq that grant this ability.

Know Alignment is a targeted spell that gives you a more refined reading on a given mob's/character's disposition.
