Plastering links is good - as long as we do not get banned from search engines heh

How about a news section for real news that seems mythos-y?

That's a good idea. And we could refer to it for the collaboration.

Hey that is a good idea. There are already Cthulhu type stuff in SL. I asked an SL entreperneur on my radio show Sunday night. However a ToD prescence might not be a bad idea. I am Lagwolf Gloucester btw.

I like the 'real mythos news' thing - instead of posting it in a thread, why not have it on the main page, with the other news/updates?

I am willing to give someone an account on there to post entries if they are willing to do it :)

The thread was made to gather stuff in the hope of putting it on the main page. I figure a section akin to the Public Archives would work, with a bunch of articles we could filter by a few keywords or something.

Were you thinking of an archive of links like this? That could work, but if it is posted to a new category on the very main page, it would be fresh stuff to show, and if they wanted a list they could just view all the posts from that category as well.

If you must change the layout, why not make it look like a 1920s-30s newspaper? The HPLHS site has some very nice headline fonts.

Other ideas I had.

Contests:
  • Short story and poem.
    Prop making contests.
    Costume contests.

More later.

I actually have the HPLHS font pack - the current header font is using one from it ;)

Contests would not be bad - I am not sure how many would participate though.

MMM ok then maybe just sections where folks can show off in those catagories. You already have a story section.

I did some some fonts along the lines of 1920s news type and teletype as well as old paper pattern fills for GIMP. If you are interested that is.
