Connect via http

Post by ErrolBaker »

Sorry for the cross forum post, but I realized that the help forum hasn't had an update in 6 months.

Would anyone have any suggestions for connecting to the mud via http? I can't telnet, or use any java which relies on telnet, as the network at my school only allows internet via a http proxy (I believe). I'm a bad teacher for wanting to play Cthulhu at school, aren't I? ;-)

I don't know of any clients off-hand that would work if outgoing port 8889 is blocked where you work. You'd need a proxy to connect since most web-based apps actually open the connection directly from the client (your) computer, which is the same as using any regular telnet client.
