Public screening of rare Lovecraft Films

Post by Pickman »

Hola

If anyone is in the Southern California area on Saturday, May 28, there will be a screening of "Out of Mind", the latest DVD from Lurker Films <http://www.lurkerfilms.com/>, on the UCLA campus (time TBD, but afternoon). We'll also show the shorts "The Music of Erich Zann" and "The Outsider" plus "My Necronomicon".

This is part of Enigmacon 2005, a charity fundraiser for tsunami relief being run by Enigma, UCLA's twenty year old science fiction, fantasy, horror, and gaming fan club. The con runs from 11am to 8pm, and we are asking for suggested donations of any amount to help WorldTrust.org rebuild villages in Sri Lanka and other areas hit by the tsunami and earthquakes.

Some of our current confirmed guests are:

Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski
Star Trek actor Walter Koenig (Chekov)
internationally renowned author Harlan Ellison
Elfquest creator Wendy Pini
Robert Schooley and Mark McCorkle, the creators of the Disney channel hit Kim Possible
Battlestar Galactica executive producer, Ronald D. Moore
the new X-Men and Wolverine creator Len Wein
Chris Metzen, lead designer/writer at Blizzard Entertainment (Warcraft, World of Warcraft)
Chris Gore from IFC's Ultimate Film Fanatic
Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Danny Strong
Babylon 5 actress Tracy Scoggins
Joan of Arcadia actor Michael Welch
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine actor Cirroc Lofton
Enterprise actor Connor Trinneer
author George Clayton Johnson
the design team behind the acclaimed game God of War
The musical band Warp 11

Plus many more (we have about 70 guests expected). In addition to screenings, panel discussions, video game tournaments, boardgames, Magic games, miniatures, dating games, a dance, a burlesque strip tease, we'll also have previews, workshops, an art show, character drawings, an auction, and probably some other things I can't think of right now.

Registration and information at: http://www.enigmacon.org
