I am seeking an Entry for the CD case artwork, and artwork that will appear on the CD itself, when pressed and manufactured.
The following will be accepted as valid entries:
1 - Photography and Photomanipulations (your own work only)
2 - Drawings in the digital medium
3 - Experimental Art that fits with the overall theme but is digital, same as above.
Anything not constituting porn or extreme violence and gore is feasible.
Theme of the album:
The album itself, as the title loosely implies, is basically a musical expression of my take on the fact that I do my music without a band, do not tour, and basically have no middle man, or 'street team'. Such things annoy me, and thus, I am, alone in the spark...
Contest Rules:
1 - Contest is open to anyone on the net, willing to put in the time.
2 - Submissions will be archived for future gallery use, but you will retain all rights to the work submitted, and, if your work is used on the CD, will not appear anywhere else on products or future works I release.
3 - If you work is NOT chosen, it will be archived but will not ever be made use of in commercial or pomotional means. I will sign a legal agreement to this effect.
4 - You must produce the artwork YOURSELF, from your own stock, or newly snapped photo's or drawn pieces. I will not accept photomanipulations of copyrighted works fused with your own. Although I am an artist, and often give away my stuff, I will not cheat others out of their due merits!
5 - Deadline - There is currently none. It will be announced as the album nears completion. It might be 6 months, it might be 6 weeks. But you have more than enough time!
6 - Image Size Requirements:
I will post image size requirements in due course. For now, work with the largest image size you can handle, preferrable the highest desktop resolution for an desktop PC running Windows XP on a nice card. The manufacture of the disc will require large files, so that there is no bleeding or "blank space" on the final CD and case.
Prizes:
The winner will have their work chosen as the packaging material for the release, be given full art credits on the CD book and case, and will be given approximately 50% of all income I receive based on this project. In addition, the artist will have the option of choosing also either a T-shirt, featuring their work for the CD, or a mouspad with the same. I will add another random prize from my idea bag, that will not be pre-announced.
