The idea of the “Ark” containing only seeds reminds me of the Zoroastrian “Deluge” story. In that story, the “Ark” is actually an underground shelter that contains the seeds of all the plants, animals, and humans. It sort of sounds like Yima, (the Zoroastrian Noah), was actually collecting some sort of cells from all the animals for cloning or test-tube babies.
